I have played bass for quite some time now, playing in variety of bands from roots / blues to all out noise. I found myself exploring the possibilities of creating ambient/space music on the bass. I had been experimenting with effect pedals, midi with accompanying sequencers and synthesizers. I was learning how to use these machines to create the loose foundation of a musical composition that opens up to a form of music that can be improvised and evolve in real time. During my development of this new found means of creating music I would record my sessions of practice and performances. I have edited down 7 tracks from these recordings that I feel are the foundation of what is now the direction I am working in my composition and performance.
